Suncoast Chemicals Metal Control Directions for Use
Add one quart of Suncoast Metal Control per 6,500 gallons of pool water. In problem water areas, two quarts or more may be required per 6,500 gallons. Ideally, Metal Control should be diluted in a bucket of water and added to a circulating pool. When using Metal Control for topicals in pool stain identification, it should not be diluted. Metal Control should be used when treating black algae to help soften and remove the hard outer shells which protect black algae shells.
Normal maintenance levels for Suncoast Chemicals Metal Control are 10-12 ppm for scale and stain removal. It is important to monitor these levels in order to prevent staining in new and older pools. Metal Control levels are depleted as the product does its job. Your pool may require more or less Metal Control depending on the amount of contaminants in your pool. Adding 1 1/2 ounces will raise the Metal Control level 1 ppm in 6,500 gallons of pool water. Have a sequest test performed. Metal Control is formulated to aid in the removal of stains on all pool surfaces and, when used on a regular basis, to help prevent new stains from occurring. Suncoast Chemicals Metal Control is designed to work under normal water balance conditions and a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) level below 1200 ppm. With a TDS above 1200 ppm. you should use Suncoast Chemicals Ultimate Metal Control Plus Salt Solution.
