Pool Stain Treatment

Super Stain Gone is a swimming pool stain treatment for removal of stubborn stains from all types of pool surfaces, but is especially beneficial for fiberglass pools and spas.  This granular stain treatment effectively removes brown, gray or black stains (not to be confused with algae growth). 

• For the removal of brown, gray, or black stains on most swimming pool surfaces, cobalt stains on fiberglass pools, and discoloration from spot etching

Recommended Procedure

The following procedure is recommended to be of help in the removal of brown, gray, and black stains from fiberglass pools and spas.  These stains are not to be confused with algae growth. 

1. Adjust Total Alkalinity to 70 ppm.

2. Adjust Calcium Hardness to 400 ppm. 

3. Circulate pool for two hours.

4. Adjust pH to 7.4.

5. Circulate pool for one hour, then turn pool pump off. 

6. Allow pool to become completely calm. 

7. Sprinkle Super Stain Gone  into pool over main spotted areas.  Use one pound for every 10,000 gallons of pool water. 

8. Let sit for one hour, then turn pool pump on.
